The Village of Mount Kisco is hosting a joint village board and planning board meeting Thursday, Jan.18 to discuss plans for bringing the supermarket to 333 North Bedford Road, opposite Staples.
The 70,000 square foot supermarket would be relocated from its Bedford Hills location, also on Route 117.
"The current zoning doesn't permit for it," Mayor Gina Picinich said. "We want to discuss what's best for the community. We want to work together to help simplify the process."
The joint meeting will also discuss plans for Oakwood Cemetery to install a solar field in back of the property, which is also not permitted under current zoning laws.
"The board of trustees and planning board is working collaboratively together," Picinich said.
